Conductor

The three conductors of Columbia cable’s “triple balanced” guarantee that, regardless of whether RCA or XLR plugs are used, the positive and negative signals have low distortion conductive paths. The 100% coverage shielding is never used as a lower quality audio conductor.

Metal

The PSC+ (Perfect-Surface Copper+) has an exceptionally smooth, thin and pure surface. The technologies used to prepare the cable’s metal protect its surface at every stage of design and manufacture.

When extremely pure, low oxidation copper is kept as smooth and flexible as possible, it becomes a wonderful low distortion PSC conductor. PSC+ copper is prepared by applying the same technology to ultra-pure copper, eliminating harshness and providing exceptional clarity.

Noise-Dissipation System

Easy 100% shielding protection. Audioquest’s Noise-Dissipation System is necessary to prevent captured RF noise from modulating the equipment’s ground reference. The carbon-rich metals and synthetics prevent most RF noise from reaching the equipment’s ground plane.

Dielectric-Bias System

All insulators slow down the signal inside the conductor. When the insulator is unbiased, it slows down different parts of the signal differently, which is a serious problem for the ultra-timing sensitive multi-octave sound.
